The mandatory units for this course are as follows:

  • Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
  • Erecting and Dismantling Access/Working Platforms in the Workplac
  • Preparing Surfaces for Painting and/or Decorating in the Workplace
  • Applying Surface Coatings by Brush and Roller in the Workplace

In addition to the seven mandatory units listed above, students are also required to complete a minimum of one unit from Group A and one unit from Group B:

  • Hang Wallcoverings (standard and foundation papers) in the Workplace
  • Hanging Non-Standard Width Wallcoverings in the Workplace

Optional Units Group B

  • Applying Coatings by the Airless Spray Method in the Workplace

Whilst we don’t have any prerequisites for our NVQs, as we believe learning should be accessible to everyone, we do recommend that those new to the field first complete our Level 2 NVQ in Painting and Decorating.
