Assessing Display Screen Equipment Course Overview

IIRSM & CPD Approved

Our Display Screen Equipment (DSE) training courses are designed for individuals who regularly use display screen equipment and those responsible for conducting DSE assessments. A ‘user’ is defined as anyone who routinely operates display screen equipment for a substantial part of their normal work duties. If you use DSE continuously for more than an hour each day, you fall into this category.

So, what exactly is display screen equipment?

While many immediately think of a computer monitor, it also includes a wide range of other devices. Display screen equipment can refer to laptops, tablets, televisions, smartphones, CNC control panels, portable diagnostic devices, or equipment with cathode ray tubes (CRTs).

The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations provide specific guidance on DSE safety. Under these regulations, both employers and employees have responsibilities to ensure the safe use of DSE in the workplace.

This course helps you meet your legal training requirements and provides guidance on the correct setup and safe use of display screen equipment, helping to minimise the risk of work-related health issues.
