In December 2008, the Food Standards Agency introduced the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, which is now fully implemented across Wales, Northern Ireland, and nearly all of England.
This scheme is designed to assess how well businesses comply with food safety laws. Businesses that meet the basic requirements receive a rating of three, while those that manage food safety risks effectively can achieve a four or five rating. However, significant shortcomings in any area of the assessment can negatively impact the final rating.
This course provides an in-depth overview of the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, covering the scoring criteria, assessment process, appeals procedures, Safer Food Better Business guidelines, E. coli prevention, and practical steps to help you achieve the best possible rating for your business.
While this course offers valuable guidance to help you improve your food hygiene rating, it cannot guarantee a perfect score, and Train 4 Growth assumes no liability for lower ratings.
