Training Options for Bricklayers and Trowel Trades

Bricklaying is one of the most recognised trades in construction. Bricklayers and trowel operatives help create the structure of new homes, extensions and commercial buildings, making these skills essential on sites across the UK. Many workers look to gain a recognised qualification so they can progress, meet site requirements or apply for skilled worker roles.

Train 4 Growth does not currently assess NVQs in bricklaying or trowel trades. However, we do offer training and qualifications that support those entering the industry or improving their employment prospects.

Courses Suitable for Bricklayers and New Entrants

The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course is ideal for new starters who need the Green CSCS Labourer Card to get on site. This is often the first step for anyone beginning their journey into bricklaying or trowel-based work.

We can also support progression through a wide range of construction NVQs for those working in related areas such as groundworks, concreting, site supervision and general construction operations.
